Using the internet to promote properties in an innovative way is a useful sales tool, according to online estate agent Landgate.
With the number of people who have high-speed internet access on the increase, it is now easier than ever to get the maximum benefit from a website by offering online videos to clients.
Peter Davis, a director at Landgate, which offers clients videos designed to help them select properties, said: "We understand because we are in the industry exactly what something is going to look like. The more information you can give somebody on what they base their decision to buy the better. It would work particularly well for niche developers who don''t have such a high profile."
"I think more and more sales are happening on the web, so any tool that enhances your chances on the web is a good thing," he added.
Recently, it was reported that a number of people are using websites such as eBay and YouTube to help them sell their properties without an estate agent and in late June, supermarket chain Tesco announced its plans to launch an online property service that would cut estate agents out of the selling process.
