Exotic property markets ''open''

People looking to buy abroad are more willing to consider properties in far-flung destinations, it has been claimed.

A spokesperson for Off-Plan International revealed that buyers are taking a more adventurous approach to home-buying and heading for countries as far away as the Caribbean to snap up their dream property.

"The market of the world has opened now so many people are looking further afield. People aren''t too worried now about how far away they are investing," he said.

However, a report from the Association of International Property Professionals said last year that France and Spain are still the top destinations for people buying overseas, despite concerns that some areas had become over-developed.

The spokesperson said that it was still possible to find "unspoilt" areas, such as those near Barcelona or in the Balearic Islands but warned that buying in the country is not necessarily a cheap option.

"It depends where you look. There are areas that are a bit cheaper because they are less developed or less well known and potentially harder to make something off," he said.ADNFCR-1143-ID-18310014-ADNFCR
