Exclusively Estates is looking to find a franchisee to open an outpost of the firm in Cambridge, it has been reported.

In Surrey, Exclusive Estates as four offices based in Cobham, Horsley, Leatherhead and Oxshott and specialises in high-end property.

According to the Cambridge Evening News, the firm is planning to expand its business into the picturesque university town, with co-director Simon Pelling telling the newspaper that after doing "very well since launching" in 2002, the time is right for expansion.

"Our aim is not simply to be a successful agency in and around Surrey. We want to be competing nationwide with the likes of Savills and Knight Frank, and having a significant presence in Cambridge is a crucial part of this," he said.

On its website, the company says that it does not require potential franchisees to have previous experience working in the estate agency sector but said that it is looking for people who are motivated, have business acumen and are capable of both managing and motivating a team.

The firm is part of the Exclusively Group, which also offers financial services and a home search team.
