Footballer Robbie Fowler has bought a home in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, it has been reported.
According to the South Wales Echo, Fowler purchased a £1 million mansion with half an acre of private land in the village of Llanblethian, near Cowbridge.
Details about the interior of the home are unclear but the paper reported that the house is equipped with wooden security gates and an intercom system to ensure that no uninvited guests are able to gain access to the property.
Cowbridge is located west of cosmopolitan Cardiff, where the former England and Liverpool star is currently playing as a striker for Cardiff City Football Club after being transferred in July.
Fowler has a wealth of experience in property, having a successfully buy-to-let portfolio which is reported to include approximately 100 homes in his hometown of Liverpool.
However, in 2005, he told the Observer that his mind is still firmly on his performance on the pitch, commenting: "I''ve got a financial advisor who deals with it so I can concentrate on football."
