Cheshire homes ''could lure Church and Henson''

Singer Charlotte Church and her rugby player boyfriend Gavin Henson could find their dream home in the ''golden triangle'' of Cheshire if rumours of Henson''s transfer to a local club prove to be true, experts have suggested.

It has been reported that Widnes Vikings are keen to lure Henson from his current team, the Ospreys, making it probable that he would have to move closer to their grounds in Cheshire if he were to sign with them.

One of the most popular spots in Cheshire for sportsman and television to make their homes in is the ''golden triangle'' – the area between the towns of Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Prestbury.

Russell Owen, of Prestbury based estate agency Gascoigne Halman, told the Western Mail: "Up here your average celeb-type house – a good four or five-bedroomed property with half an acre attached – would go for around £1.5 million.

"But for something with its own swimming pool and a media room you would be looking at between £3 million and £4 million," he added.

The glamorous areas in the region have seen impressive price growth this year, with figures from Halifax released earlier this year revealing that the average house price in Wilmslow has risen by 12 per cent since 2006.ADNFCR-1143-ID-18399062-ADNFCR
