An estate agent in the north-west has expressed optimism about the about property market and said that sellers should not be worried about their chances of selling their home.
Figures recently released by Nationwide revealed that property prices fell for the second month in a row in December, dropping by 0.5 per cent, with experts continuing to predict that they will plummet further throughout 2008.
However, Damian Adams, the director of estate agency Michael C Adams, told the Runcorn and Widnes Weekly News that sellers need not be overly concerned about speculation about a housing market crash.
"Talk of a winter credit crunch combined with apprehension towards home information packs has made people nervous of putting their house on the market but the public shouldn''t be worried because there is a market out there for them," he commented.
In fact, Mr Adams suggested that those thinking of selling up consider putting their property on the market soon, explaining that many people begin to "look for a fresh start in the New Year".
"Now is the time to sell up if you want to get ahead of the competition," he added.
