Norfolk ''still offers opportunity for buyers''

Norfolk could offer buyers the chance to snap up a property at a competitive price, local experts have warned.
According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, East Anglia saw some of the biggest house prices falls in the country in December as buyers adjusted to recent economic turmoil and tightening lending criteria.
However, some experts believe that the region still offers buyers the opportunity to get a good deal, especially in comparison with other more expensive areas.
Chris Hall, of Christopher Hall estate agents, told the Norwich Evening News that prices in the town are "nowhere near the prices in Cambridge".
"We''ve got so much going for us and there''s lots of confidence in jobs and commuter links which is bringing people to the area, although it is certainly the case that supply is outstripping demand," he explained.
Martin Cunningham, chief executive of Howards estate agents, acknowledged that the credit crunch is causing problems but agreed that there are still deals to be had in the region.
"I do think there is affordable property out there and I would say in the Norfolk area we''ve been lucky in that prices aren''t as high as in some parts of the country."
