Kevin Keegan has appointed an estate agent in Northumberland to help him find a new home, according to reports.

The Sunday Sun reports that he has tapped Sanderson & Young to track down a property for him, quoting a staff member at the chain''s Ponteland branch as saying that the firm is "dealing with the family".

Ponteland is located around seven miles north-west of Newcastle and is home to around 11,200 people, many of whom commute to the city using the A696, which runs through the town.

Mr Keegan became the manager of Newcastle United for the second time in his career earlier this month following the departure of former boss Sam Allardyce, signing a deal that will keep him at the club for three and a half years.

Speaking after his appointment was made public, he said: "It''s nice to be home. I''m delighted to be back."

The star is enormously popular amongst fans of the club since he played for the team in the 1980s and almost led them to victory in the league in the 1990s when he returned to manage the team.ADNFCR-1143-ID-18443978-ADNFCR
