Manchester properties ''fairly priced''

Manchester offers first-time buyers a good opportunity to get onto the first rung of the property ladder, it has been suggested.
The city was a major site of industry for hundreds of years but recent regeneration has seen it become a bustling hub of cultural and sports activities.
Tom Rogers, residential investment consultant at high end estate agency Savills, explained that the city still offers those trying to buy their first home a "pretty good" deal as it is possible to buy a city centre home with a mortgage of around £100,000.
"There is a lot on offer as far as property prices go, I think they are quite fairly priced in Manchester.
"A one-bedroom apartment is still quite affordable and that''s city centre living .You wouldn''t get that in London."
While he highlighted Ancoats as an area which is seeing a lot of developments being erected, Mr Rogers explained that the "condensed city centre" means that any property in a central location makes the region accessible.
"It''s a great vibrant city, things are always happening here," he added.
