The home of former Manchester United player Phil Neville is up for sale in east Lancashire, for the tidy sum of £4 million.

Neville, now the captain of Premiership side Everton, has moved from the mansion in Crawshawbooth, Rossendale, with his wife Julie.

The couple have now put the Grade II listed home up for sale - along with its nine acres of land - with the property boasting six bedrooms, a large reception, billiard room and cinema, along with a detached four-bedroom staff house within the grounds.

Sunnyside House stands just off Burnley Road and also features a tennis court and planning permission for a swimming pool.

According to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, estate agents Knight Frank explained: "The house has been comprehensively improved by the present owners to a particularly demanding specification over the last five years and is now the epitome of modern day living.

"However, there has been a strong emphasis on retaining the character of this fine listed building."

England international Neville now lives with his wife and children Harvey and Isabella in Manchester.
