A-lister Kate Winslet is looking for a new home in the south-west of England, it has been reported.
According to the Sunday Times, the actress and her director husband Sam Mendes put in an offer on a £6 million nine-bedroom property with six acres of land in Dittisham, near Dartmouth, last year but were outbid by other keen buyers.
However, the couple are said to be undeterred and are continuing to search for a property in either Devon or Cornwall, an area which former Olympian Sharron Davies is also said to be interested in.
A source told the newspaper that Mendes and Winslet are willing to take their time to find the right property for their family, including son Joe and Kate''s daughter Mia, as they are currently spending much of their time in the US.
It looks set to be a big year for the couple, with their first film together due to be released later this year.
Mendes directs his wife in the 1950s drama Revolutionary Road, which also stars Winslet''s Titantic co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kathy Bates.
