Buy-to-let property investors may find that now is a good time to purchase investment properties in the UK.

That is according to the Property Investment Network (PIN), which highlighted the fact that there are many bargains available on the market.

It comes as recent house price reports show that property values are slowly falling, meaning that the average UK property is relatively cheap.

Simon Zutshi, founder of PIN, said that wise investors who look to the long-term can make a profit by buying now.

"It''s a great time to buy because you can get a fantastic price," he commented. "But because prices are going to be shaky for the next couple of years you are going to have to wait a long time for prices to come up; it''s got to be a long-term investment.

"Property is a long-term investment; it''s not a get rich scheme. You need to buy now at a great price but be prepared to hold it for a while," added Mr Zutshi.
