It revealed that the average price of a terraced property now stands at £149,668, having increased by more than half in the last five years and by 2.2 per cent in the last year.
Terraced properties were also found to be the second most popular property type in the country, accounting for 27 per cent of sales and 28 per cent of the total housing stock.
They are however, the most popular property type among first-time buyers, with 38 per cent of new buyers opting to buy one.
Buyers are most likely to get their hands on a terraced property in Yorkshire & Humberside, where they account for 31 per cent of sales.
