About Costa de la Luz
Costa de la Luz (Coast of the Light) is the Atlantic Coast of the Andalusian regions of Huelva and Cádiz. It offers many attractive beaches with a variety of water sports. There is no doubt that one of the main features of the area are its’ white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.
Apart from the two regional capitals of Huelva and Cadiz the area boasts the historical Andalucian city of Seville. The Costa de la Luz starts at the Isla Cristina near the Portugese border moving onto Lepe and then Huelva. On the other side of the Guadalquivir estuary is the spa town of Chipiona and then Jerez de la Frontera world famous for it’s wine and horses.
Cadiz, the most southerly city in Europe boasts fine beaches as does the rest of the coastline down to the windsurfing mecca of Tarifa. In between are a mix of small Andalucian villages such as Chiclana and Vejer beyond which are the spectacular cliffs and hidden creeks of Barbate.
