Nicole Richie buys New York flat

Nicole Richie looks as though she is taking her new role as a mother very seriously and is finally settling down.
The 26-year-old is reported to have snapped up a £500,00 condominium in New York with boyfriend Joel Madden.
The two-bedroom apartment is described as "low-key" and offers enough space for their first child Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who is just a couple of months old.
It is rumoured that Nicole and Joel have bought the apartment so that they have a base in New York but will continue to live in Los Angeles.
"Joel has wanted to live in New York for a while. Nicole has gone along with buying the place, but LA is her home," a source told In Touch magazine.
The birth of Harlow appears to have had a calming effect on Nicole, who was once known as a wild child and regular party girl.
Although her pal Paris Hilton still regularly appears in public at club nights and social events, Nicole has been keeping a lower profile.
