The Rugged Coast, is the name of the Mediterranean coastal territory of Barcelona and Girona. It is geographically limited by the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees and has an annual average temperature of 16ºC.

Its 124 Km of beaches are located between Blanes in the south and Port Bou in the north. It includes the coastal resorts of Blanes, Sant Feliu de Guixols, Platja D’Aro, Palmaos, Palafrugell, Fornells, Bagur, L’Estartit, L’Escala, Rosas, Port de la Selva, Llançá, Portbou, Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, S’Agaró, Empurias and Cadaqués.
