London landlords are cashing in on Wimbledon with some of the highest short-term rents in the country.
Rents are booming in the City as tennis fans struggle to find accommodation, with many groups wanting to be housed in the same place.
Tennis fans are paying up to £8,000 for a house in London during the tournament, according to the Telegraph, which is still less than the cost of a top hotel.
Sarah Shortridge, director of short-lets at Foxtons, told the paper: "Applicants are willing to pay a premium for prime location properties in Wimbledon."
"We let properties for two weeks but charge the same price as a month," she added.
One client with a £4,000 a month luxury property in central London is charging £6,000 in rent during the two-week tournament.
On Monday, Britain''s number one hope for a Wimbledon title Andy Murray made it into the semi-finals to face Rafael Nadal.
