A new national auction house is set to be created for Wales following a new partnership, it has been reported.
North Wales-based estate agency Williams & Goodwin has joined forces with South Wales firm The Property People to create the All Wales Auction House, reports the Daily Post.
The first two auctions under the new partnership are scheduled to take place in Bangor on February 26th and in Cardiff on March 3rd.
Melfyn Williams, managing director at Williams & Goodwin, told the newspaper the All Wales auctions will create a "superb nationwide marketing opportunity" which can increase prices and "achieve the best sales prices".
He added: "Our vendors will benefit from interest created by national marketing and advertising while local buyers will find it easier to travel to one of our twin sites to make bids.
"This should help realise the best price while ensuring that Welsh properties are sold within Wales."
London-based estate agency Cluttons claims the secret to selling property in the current market is to price houses low to begin with to generate competition among buyers and achieve higher final sale prices.
