Disused water tower generating interest from potential homeowners

An estate agent has received a number of enquiries from people interested in turning a disused water tower into a new home, according to reports.

The structure in Great Doddington has a price tag of £100,000 and comes complete with planning permission enabling it to be converted into a residential property, reports the Northants Evening telegraph.

Andrew Kilburn, from Northampton-based estate agency King West, told the newspaper it was "not often you see something like this on the market".

He claims the firm has received interest in the structure from "several potential buyers", adding he could imagine "an artist ofrsomeone like that living there".

Mr Kilburn stated: "It is not going to suit your run-of-the-mill buyer. It is will suit somebody looking for something very individual and a little bit quirky."

People visiting a showhome at The Dairy development on the outskirts of Norwich will be able to see a realistic impression of a teenage boy''s untidy bedroom, complete with an unmade bed, crumpled T-shirts and smelly trainers on the floor.
