An estate agents in the Hertfordshire town of Tring has teamed up with the Carbon Neutral Company to cut down on its carbon emissions.
The Nash Partnership is working with the environmental consultants to look at the carbon emissions it produces through its daily business, including through its offices and by travelling to and from appointments with clients.
In addition, the estate agents is committed to switching to using 100 per cent renewable energy in all of its offices by the end of next year.
"Make no mistake, this is not about 'pretending' to do something just to give us a nice warm and fuzzy feeling," Daniel Nash told Aylesbury Today.
"But of course, despite all our best efforts, there will remain certain unavoidable emissions. So these have been neutralised, or offset, by Nash Partnership's supporting renewable energy projects around the globe."
Mr Nash also stated that the long-term aim of the firm's environmental initiative is to encourage other businesses and homeowners within the Tring area to look at their own carbon emissions and make a move towards renewable energy.
