South Wales is becoming increasingly attractive to buyers, an estate agent has revealed.
Cardiff has seen massive investment over the last decade, with the stunning Millennium Stadium and an array of stylish property developments being built but now the entire region is beginning to show signs of a boom.
George Cardale of Savills told the Daily Telegraph: "It''s one of the most exciting locations anywhere now with Cardiff setting the pace.
"The Welsh have seen what''s been done in Bristol and northern city centres - transformed by new schemes and sophisticated property conversions - and want the same."
In October, Savills expanded its operations in the city just three months after opening a new office, signalling the continued growth of the market in the city.
Newport, located east of Cardiff, is one of the areas which looks most likely to see an upturn in the property market, with millions being spent to modernise the city as it prepares to the host the Ryder Cup golf tournament in 2010.
Mr Cardale adds: "It''s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the place. It''ll rise to the challenge."
