Former Popstars: The Rivals competitor Javine Hylton has admitted that she is still struggling to sell her London flat even though it has been on the market for six months.

The singer told the Mail on Sunday that she has put the two bedroom basement property in Shepherd''s Bush on the market with local agency Apple Estates after the two firms she appointed previously failed to sell it.

"It''s frustrating because it''s a nice basement flat. As soon as you close the door, it doesn''t feel like you''re in London.

Although the property had previously been open to offers of between £380,000 and £400,000, it is now on the market for £375,000.

She has owned property since she was 18, when she became one of a growing number of buy-to-let landlords after snapping up a two-bedroom flat in Hammersmith, something she said had been influenced by her mother, who encouraged her to invest in bricks and mortar.

Hylton, who represented the UK at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, lives with former So Solid Crew rapper Harvey in north-west London and is currently expecting their first child.
