Storage space "important" to homebuyers

Having adequate storage space is important to homebuyers, according to one estate agent.
Lulu Egerton, a partner at Strutt & Parker Lane Fox, said that having a place to house luggage, bikes and other items is a "sought after commodity".
She added that homeowners were becoming more and more inventive when it comes to providing such space, with some even digging down to create underground vaults and cellars.
"Space is the one of the most sought after commodities that house buyers are looking for," Ms Egerton said.
She added that other "creative" ways of increasing space include creating basements opening up attics and under-the-stairs cupboards.
A recent article in a Building for Life newsletter number claimed that "lack of storage is one of the most common causes of complaint for residents in new homes".
Other features which attract people when house hunting include outside space and off-street parking.
