Crowe rents Cruise''s old pad

There are only so many homes in the world deemed to be fit enough for a Hollywood actor so it is little surprise that many end up living in the same properties over the years.

The latest star to do just this is Russell Crowe after he moved into a Beverly Hills mansion which was previously rented by Tom Cruise.

Crowe is said to be paying something in the region of $125,000 (£64,000) per month for the property, a large increase on the $75,000 (£38,000) that Cruise was paying.

Although rent is high, Crowe and his family will benefit from a host of mod cons.

The Tudor-style house is built on four acres of land with extensive gardens, a football pitch-sized lawn, a driveway big enough to house over 20 cars and a fountain in the rose garden.

Further to this, the inside of the property contains many of the creature comforts that any Hollywood star needs on a day-to-day basis.

"Tom made numerous renovations during the years that he rented the Beverly Hills home," an unnamed source told Showbiz Spy.

"He put in a home theatre so he could screen movies and he turned the guest house into a children''s playroom for Suri.

"The house also has a large swimming pool at the back, which is perfect now the LA weather is warming up," added the source.ADNFCR-1143-ID-18471427-ADNFCR
