A leading property firm has highlighted its belief that the UK property market remains a good place to invest.
Legal & General Property believes that investors can still make very good returns in the market.
In addition, the firm believes that returns will pick up in the second half of this year, meaning that now may be a good time to invest.
Rob Martin from Legal & General Property said that the housing market has always presented a number of good investment opportunities.
"The case for investing in property remains a strong one," said the head of performance analysis and research.
"It has always been an excellent asset to include in a portfolio due its low correlation with equities and bonds and its income generating capacity," he continued.
The positive outlook is echoed by investors in London, who were polled by the Young Group.
A total of 86 per cent of those questioned said that they expect London property prices to rise over the next 12 months, while 95 per cent intend to hold onto their investments for the next year at least.
